Get your knit on boys

Rock these new techniques with help from our Wool School. We have added 3 easy to follow tutorials for the new men’s collection, Boys Will Be Boys.

How to read knitting charts - Following a knitting chart is an invaluable skill for all levels of knitters. Charts are great for showing instructions such as lace, cables and colour work. This easy to follow tutorial will have you following charts before you can finish that mince pie. It features our favourite new Magnificent Sweater from the Boys Will Be Boys collection. Knit your own using Ivory White Sheepaca and Midnight Blue.

How to knit buttonbands - Adding buttonbands to vests and sweaters is simple, using only casting off and casting on stitches. It’s a great skill for both new and advanced knitters. Our easy to follow tutorial will teach you how to pick up stitches and create buttonholes, perfect for knitting up the Boys Will Be Boys Jumpin’ Jack Vest. For the tutorial we have used Sheepaca, doubled up in our warm Cinnamon Dust.

Learn to knit the hexagon stitch – Similar to the honeycomb brioche stitch, the hexagon stitch will add a rich and dense texture to your knitwear. We love it in Ivory White Sheepaca for the Knit Jagger Sweater . This is a more advanced stitch but don’t worry, we have it covered in our new Wool School tutorial. The simple to follow tutorial will have you knitting hexagon stitch in no time.
