Mini's wool getaway

mini-wool-getaway

After a fabulous time at the MINI Countryman Open Air in London this June, the fun between Wool and the Gang and MINI continues with MINI’s new Countryman advert featuring four hip young things paying a visit to the countryside to pick up some wool. Can you spot the Beanie Unplugged and Nijin Love Legwarmers in Checkers Tweed?

Love these pictures of Jade from our SHINY HAPPY COTTON 1, shot by Martin Bruno in Ibiza. Today is a special day for her, it's her birthday! The Gang wishes her lots of amazing adventures for this new year. xo

Meet Wool and the Gang….at My Madewell!

aurelie-jade-mymadewell-01

After recent collaborations and friendly conversations with our friends at Madewell, our designers Aurélie and Jade were chosen as two of the four fashionable ladies currently featured on “My Madewell” – the company’s online page dedicated to showcasing how “these stylish women mix Madewell with their own favorite pieces - and get inspired”. The girls are rocking jeans, sandals, blazers, shirts from Madewell and knitting needles + wool from Wool and the Gang’s newest collection, lest we forget.

Learn about the music Jade and Aurélie are loving these days, their dream weekend trip and what they’ve been texting lately on Madewell.com

Inspirations — Christien Meindertsma

We recently heard of Christien Meindertsma through a friend of ours. Miss Meindertsma is a Dutch designer, based in Rotterdam, who works, among other things, with knitwear. We particularly love her Aran rug and Idaho-based Design for a Living World project, which was created for the Nature Conservancy from organic Panama sheep’s wool from Lava Lake Ranch. The aim of her work is to “regain understanding of processes that have become so distant in industrialization” – it’s wonderful to see works both beautiful and conscientious.
