Few days ago, Lili received a message from Marina, mum of a little Jack, for whom she knitted a really cute tweed grey Zion Lion hat ! Looking for a "I love my alpaca" she's bought 3 kits so far and was still desperate to find this very patch. Lili is such a sweetheart so she send to her one of hers. Here is Marina's cool message :

i learnt to knit last month on your web site (found out about you through a friend who became a fan on facebook), i never thought i would knit... nor live up a mountain... one just never knows!

I just received a cute essay from another Lisa (not our gangsta founder) telling a story about a friendship scarf — one that we saw few weeks ago on our facebook page. Here is the story of Lisa, her friends and the Foxy Roxy scarf !

Few days ago i was thinking about the Albin de la Simone’s song, that i heard in the first part of Vincent Delerm, in which he decides to eat his friends who had an argument to reconcile them. And, i thought, because my friends don’t hate each other (at least, i think) that i would love to eat my friends just to have them close to me, very close.

Why am i telling it ? Oh yeah THE scarf. So, this is a good example : my wonderful Wool and the Gang kit a close (so close) friend offered to me was knitted by her to be perfect. And, there is more, she had a quarrel with an other close (so close) friend of mine because they both wanted to finish the scarf. The result of this is that now, whenever i wear it (the scarf), i'm always with my two friends, they are close to me, around my neck. In the street, in the subway, outside the restaurant when i smoke a cigarette (bad…), as a cushion when i read on my sofa.

And you know the best thing about that ? I hadn’t to eat them. They warm my neck. And my heart. And i didn’t even put on one gramme.

We just found Miss Wool 2009 ! When i received that mail last week and discover those photos i told myself "waaw this girl must live in Wool Land !". In fact Geraldine who works at Noa Shop in Genève is in a incredible addict to the collection as you can see.

She already knitted one Zion Lion hat, two Lula Hoop scarves, one Lil'Joe and a Nijin Skina kit — and it's so nice ! And of course she has the gang spirit as she worked in family for those cool photos taken by her talented brother Anthony !

Please notice the perfect "swiss touch" with the cute Zermatt patch on her Sherpa blue Lula Hoop. Want one like this too !

What a surprise when i discovered the french blog La Poupee Qui Fait Non, and the LIL'JOEs she made by herself ! A cool version in tweed grey CRAZY SEXY WOOL and a surprising but really nice one in yellow, her favorite color, in a different yarn. A really cool style, great pictures, and a nice comment on her experience with Wool and the Gang "The beginner lever is for once a real beginner one, everything is very well explained with big schemes for dummies".

Here is a new gang addict, Brice Compagnon – the king of wild casting. For a long time he worked with Oliviero Toscani for the historic campaigns of Benetton, always on the lookout for the maddest models! Since then he has founded his own agency, Casting Office, and co-edits the magazine WAD, where he naturally takes care of the casting. Here he is wearing a very beautiful Foxy Roxy scarf in grey tweed – prettily knitted by this friend Dorothée Woillez. Nice one!

He decided to surprise her with a Nijin Skina kit for Christmas. She caught him reading the article in Jalouse. Straight away, she became a knitting addict, and he’s taken some superb photos of it! This attentive young man has his own blog Little Style Box, dealing with fashion and trends in the streets of Paris. Something not to be missed!
In the same vein, the blog by Garance Doré – a real expert in material – is also essential reading.

For those who found their first WATG kit at the foot of the Christmas tree, it’s time to move into action! We’re dying to see your creations and the faces of the new gang members! Once you’ve finished your project, send us a photograph of you and your lula hoop, foxy roxy, nijin skina, etc. We’ll publish them here, so don’t forget to give us your name or pseudo as well as a couple of words: that’s always a pleasure for us!!
