After some really crazy weeks for the gang — big japanese launch, opening of the New York studio/shop, new corner at New High (M)art in Los Angeles (the pictures of the debut event coming really soon!)... — here is a cool inspiration coming from our gangstas! Nadège sent us some pictures of an impressive installation by Ball-Nogues Studio for the 2009 Shenzhen Biennale Exhibit in Hong Kong. Over 15,000 American Apparel t-shirts were assembled in a hanging sculpture called "Built to wear". The art piece is meant to be dismantled throughout the biennale and the garments distributed to the public — a nice way to show the collective unity of the sculpture and the individuality of the mass consumption.

Wool Stuff — NeedleNoodles

Looking for a new kind of lunch ? NeedleNoodles suggest a special crochet diet for wool lovers, some kind of hand knitted pork chop sandwiches. This "massive craft addict" as she discribes herself loves to knit all her favourite food, from sushis to ice creams and sells her step by step pattern for you to cook them. YUMMY !!

Maurice Scheltens
Maurice Scheltens allows us to rediscover the power of the still life, surprising us just as much with his work for magazines such as Fantastic Man & l’Officiel as for his more purely artistic work.
