Polaroids from Ibiza

Just back from IBIZA and our COTTON COLLECTION shoot with photograph Martin Bruno. Jade (Lisa's youngest daughter) was modeling with Erin from the first collection — all in a family atmosphere under the mediterranean sun ! At the moment we're working on the PHOTO EDITING, choosing the best pictures for the summer collection. Chloe gave me some of her backstage polaroids so we can share them with you. I cross fingers so i can show you the collection SOON !!

Aurelie and the gang from Peru

woolandthegang-peru-knitters-01

As part of our itinerary for each collection, Peru is always a very important stop for us ! Our knitwear designer Aurelie, from NYC studio, meets the peruvian knitters of Puno and works with them to knit new patterns for collection photos and all ready-to-wear pieces ! Here's a little message from her :

Buenos Dias everybody,

Here are some pictures of the future cotton collection !

It is freezing here... but I really enjoy spending time with the knitters. We teach each other new techniques, we laugh and stress at the same time. I enjoy PERU!

Here are the name of all the knitters who I work with everyday, there are so nice and you should see how skillful they are.. Catalina, Segundina, Graciela, Martina, Pelegrina, Esperenza, Edelmira, Efigenia. All the women in Puno learned how to knit when they were really young. As Elena (the knitters gang's chief) said "All the women in Puno know how to knit, if they don't they don't come from Puno".

I hope everyone is well.

It is hard to breath at 3800m. Am I old?

Bisous à tous

A.

liljoe-jointhegang

What a surprise when i discovered the french blog La Poupee Qui Fait Non, and the LIL'JOEs she made by herself ! A cool version in tweed grey CRAZY SEXY WOOL and a surprising but really nice one in yellow, her favorite color, in a different yarn. A really cool style, great pictures, and a nice comment on her experience with Wool and the Gang "The beginner lever is for once a real beginner one, everything is very well explained with big schemes for dummies".

Ready for take off !

Basics Only

Nadège Winter has launched her first Wool and the gang collection with the help of her knitting style gangstas Sam Hughes and Aurelie Nicod. The fall/winter must haves from WATG. Warm yet sharp.

Beanies, scarf, vest, mittens, leg warmers, headbands… be it a head to toe wool look or a knitted detail to liven up your fashion statement, there is something here for everyone. The knitting gang has chosen to launch with a simple, basic knits collection in beautiful colours.

The palette has been rigorously reduced to 7 colours to create a strong uncompromising range. The wool is a chunky, lush, tempting eye candy for beginners and advanced alike. The pieces are  strong but have been conceived with beginner knitters in mind.

You’ll be able to find tips and instructions on knitting on our web site, as well as fashion advice and customisation ideas. Wool and the Gang is in a playful relationship with fashion. Sticking to the basics and mixing ingenuity and unexpectedness to breathe new life into classic objects again and again… Fashion remains primordial, and fashion created with our own hands has that extra special touch.

Keep an eye out for new colours and models because Wool and the Gang has a mind of it’s own and doesn’t follow the fashion calendar. It impulsively hits the scene whenever it feels the need to.
